I'm Ken, a software engineer based in New York City. I studied at New York University in Economics and I'm passionate about using my skills to create innovative solutions. When I'm not coding, I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, brewing specialty coffees, and traveling to different countries. My favorite programming languages are Python and JavaScript, and I pride myself on being an efficient and communicative team leader. I love creating new things and seeing the impact they can make in the world. In my career, I've achieved notable results such as ranking a client first in SEO on Google, increasing another client's revenue by 70% through online presence, and developing a website that averages 3,000 - 5,000 unique visitors per month. I was always interested in how technology could be used to make life easier, and as I delved deeper into the world of software engineering, I became fascinated with the idea of automating mundane tasks and creating solutions for local businesses. It first started during the pandemic when I walked into one of my favorite restaurants and noticed they had a long line of customers with no end in sight. They told me it was due to the fact they didn't have enough staff to accomodate all the customer traffic.
I knew there had to be a better way so over the next few weeks, I worked tirelessly on a project that would alleviate tedious tasks being done manually (writing down the orders, answering phone calls, delivering the written orders to the kitchen, etc). As I implemented more features I noticed I was making a real difference in the business's day-to-day operations and I was hooked on the idea of using technology to create solutions that could help people thrive. From that day on, I knew I wanted to create technology that would reduce the amount of time spent on tedious tasks and redirect that time towards meaningful interactions that only a real person could offer.
